Lonely Hammock

Perfect Sunday.

Rain drops and roses and whiskers and kittens, something and something and blue satin ribbons, these are a few of my favourite things.

But nothing that can be done on a Sunday. It would begin on Saturday night snuggling into a cool room, under warm blankets, waking up with the sun instead instead of before, someone would hand the perfect cup of coffee, which I could sip at the balcony, of the house and the bed room miraculously cleans itself, the laundry does the vanishing act.

Breakfast someone would serve it, bread-eggs and coffee again.

I could read a book, and the house would resound with the sound of silence. No lunch to be either cooked or eaten sometime around three maybe a cup of coffee with biscuits or toasts. And off for a long drive.

When I come back the house is still immaculately tidy, the sink is shining a hot bowl of soup and now to sin, a plate of French fries topped with Spanish chocolate. Hmm, this would be utopia until then it

Tantarraa… Sunday, since everybody else has a day off, breakfast runs into lunch during the run catch up with washing, ironing and cleaning for the week. Grocery shopping, buy veggies and if time permits sin on pani-puri. I’ve rechristened my Sunday as sundry-day. 

ಮುಂಜಾನೆ ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಪ್ರಥಮಕಿರಣ ಅಲಾರ್ಮ್ ಗಡಿಯಾರ ವಾದರೆ? ಸ್ವಚ್ಛ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಬಿಸಿಸ್ಕಾಪಿ ಕೈಗೆ ತಂದುಕೊದುವವರು ಬೇಕು. ಅಲ್ಲವೆ,ಆಮೇಲೆ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಓದುಕೊಂಡು, ಕಾಲುಚಾಚುಕೊಂಡಿರಬೇಕು, ಮಧ್ಯಾನ್ಹದ ಅಡುಗೇನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ ಊಟನೂ ಬೇಡ ಮೂರ್ಗಂಟೆ ಸುಮಾರು ಕಾಪಿಕುಡಿದು ತಿರುಗಾಡಿ ಬರಬೇಕು, ಮನೆ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛವಿರುವುದು, ಸಾಮಾನು ಸ್ತಳಧಲ್ಲೇ ಇರುವುದು, ಬಟ್ಟೆ ತನ್ನ ತಾನು ಒಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು, ಇಸ್ತ್ರಿಯ ರಂಪವಿಲ್ಲ, ರಾತ್ರಿ ಟೊಮೇಟೊ ಸೌಪ್ ಫ್ರೆಂಚ್ ಫ್ರೈಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸ್ಪಾನಿಶ್ ಚಾಕಲೇಟ್ ಕುಡಿದು ಮಧುರ ಸಂಗೀತಕೆಳುತ್ತಾ ನಿಧಾನವಾಗಿ ನಿದ್ರಾದೇವಿಯ ಮಡಿ ಸೇರುವುದು, ಒಳ್ಳೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವಲ್ಲವ್ವೆ?

ಈ ಹಗಲು ಕನಸು ನನ್ನೆಸಾಗುವರೆಗೂ..

ಆದಿತ್ಯವಾರವೆಂದರೆ ಅಗಸನಾಗು, ಸಂತೆಹೂಗು ತರಕಾರಿತಾ, ಕಿರಾಣಿತಾ, ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆ ತಿಂಡಿ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛ ಮಾದ್ರೊಳಗೆ ಊಟಕ್ಕೂ ತಯಾರು ಮಾಡು, ಮನೆ ಸರಿಮಾಡಲು ಸಿಗುವುದು ಒಂದೇ ದಿನ, ಬಚ್ಚಲು ಸೇವೆ ಬೇರೆಆಗಬೇಕು ಇವೆಲ್ಲರ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಸಮಯ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದರೆ ಒಂದು ಪಾನಿಪೂರಿ ಹೊಡೆದು ಬರೋಣ.
