On the way from Udupi to Karkala
Small towners tend to be wary of new comers and city dwellers and townies indifferent unless you have someone to introduce you to the community.
It’s always your hometown which is the most open to you and any one you decide to bring into the fold. They are part of your memories and you theirs, somewhere we go back in town.
The childhood and teenage tantrums forgotten, your children become the grandchildren of the community. This is particularly so in old towns where people have gone old and younger generation has flown the nest to new pastures.
