A book that made me cry

Uncle Tom’s cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe.

This a book that spoke of the black slave community. The faithful Uncle Tom probably inspired strong anti-slavery movement. Many thinkers and historians believe that the popularity of this book lead to the breaking for the civil war.

the book was a 40 week serial in the National Era. Its popularity was so large that it was made a book. It is believed that Abraham Lincoln greeted the author thus ”the little woman who started the great war.”

I really hope every generation reads this and draws inspiration from this.
