True silence is the rest of the mind; it is to the spirit what sleep is to the body, nourishment and refreshment. Yet at the end of the day we remember not the words of our enemies but silence of our friends!

Does silence make me uncomfortable?
When opposed to ding, noise, cacophony, no silence is great, it is a companion, nourishing and just great. The silence is more musical than any song.
There are times when I have felt that if I were to keep quiet the only complaint would be that I don’t speak but speech could lead to greater repercussions particularly with regards to interpersonal relations. Silence provides me great reprieve while think of the right answer. When I am silent no doubt I am saved being wrong, but it also deprives me the possibility of being right.
I know people who feel that silence is deafening, yes the voice of the silent one could be earthshaking.
But I do get uncomfortable if silence implies consent.
True silence is the rest of the mind; it is to the spirit what sleep is to the body, nourishment and refreshment. Yet at the end of the day we remember not the words of our enemies but silence of our friends.
