My favourite celebrity the ordinary man.
The ordinary man and his courage. He has been immortalized by Nadiga and RK Lakshman. The man who trudges along patiently.
Normally one refers to the page 3 kinds as a celebrity. They really have no value to add, accept display of dirty linen which they wash in public.
The page 3 kinds also provide a bit of entertainment in the grit of the daily life of my celebrity the common man.
When the great shoot outs took place the common man had no time to give press statements or feature with Bakbak Roy, he quietly went on to pick up the pieces, the hospital rounds for the wounded, that one Ajmal hogs so much of the media, has anyone written about the victims, except for to increase the sales, in the first month and at the end of the year. Then Ajmal remains on the front page the common man forgotten.
there were people who got stranded at unknown towns because everything came to stand still they are victims too. Well that is his lot he has to suffer it, how does it to matter to the next man, he is a common man too with another set of burdens to carry. That makes my celebrity so special, he is crowd yet he is unique.
Then the great Bombay deluge, the confusion caused by it, the common man is martyred to the cause of the real estate and commercial sharks. I agree they are also martyred to the cause of their own ambition but that is the USP of my celebrity,
Chinna-chinna assai, those small dreams, he does not aim for the person jets or the exotic island he still hopes, he still dreams, he still prays he still labours he still survives
Lets raise a toast to the common man, to ourselves and our mundane existence
