Water is the issue that needs our total attention. With rapid urbanization we are covering the earth, so the water table does not get hydrated.

The fall out is floods, and increase in sea levels, in turn erodes the land.

The water cycle gets disturbed, the vegetation gets starved. We are already buying water which is an very American culture. This has happened due to the scarcity of its distribution.

Interestingly in india, the water resources department only hands the cleaning and the resources part of it. Once the water reaches the distribution reservoir the PWD takes over. so water management lands up being shirked by both departments as the others problem.
