Open vessels have the power of not knowing.
“I do not know” does not necessarily be defiance or sulkiness but could be just the wisest thing to do. Experts in fields are not know all.
Its only when the vessel is not full does it have the space to accommodate more.
Accepting the fact that I do not know helps to learn newer things, it also implies certain self-confidence in one’s knowledge and lack of knowledge than portending to know. They are emotionally stronger too for they do not have pretend to know.
Of course there is also a sense of adventure that lies beyond our current cache of self-knowledge.
