surgeon and his scalpel

What makes me nervous, such that break into sweat and get palpitations.

Viking warrior? Greek God? Uncle Vanya?

Remember the Vikings who came to learn the meaning of fear. Well nervousness is the labour pains of fear, or shall say it’s the other way round.

My knees shake and I get palpitations but the situations have altered. From the early childhood nervousness of getting inoculated, I remember the stories of needle breaking at the right moment; I developed the pre-exam nervous syndrome. Now that exams are done and over with its being under the surgeon’s scalpel.

Four surgeries and one caesarean later one would expect I would have overcome the fear, but no sir, I still get palpitations and break into shivers, I get the feeling of flying in the air, I think of the Vikings then.
