A map to success.

Success, to me is the way I define it and not the way someone else demands. The journey begins when I decide to start.

Yes, January was my planning time, though I did not really achieve. But then to quote Lao Tzu "What the caterpillar calls the end the rest of the world calls a butterfly."

My February is well in form, with information and Inspirations in place. Workshops to break my comfort zone so that I can attune myself to my inner compass so that I can follow a map, that only I can see, my own path.

Spiritual traditions talk of guiding us to that roadmap that individual journey of enlightment. These are made of moral codes, parables, and mythological clues and patterns sometimes mystic states. We tend to read masters or seek a Guru’s guidance to understand or seek inspiration for our paths. Just like we would for a vacation journey. These can only take us thus far and no further.

Some people follow the road map.

I am like that gypsy who looks for the less travelled or the unexplored path. My only reliable compass is within. Not that I do not respect the maps, travelogues, left behind by other others, but it cannot make my journey.

My journey has its own strange weather patterns, closed roads, traffic jams that erupt out of nowhere. The refuge motel may not be handy but a shepherd’s hut would welcome me. So despite previous inspiration and blessings the journey has to be mapped by me. Where I forge ahead and when I retreat are my decisions.

The present requires different codes from the past. Unfortunately most of us, live the present carrying the past with us. Going into roadblocks without recognizing them or imaging the whirlpool in the still water.

So burning the roadmaps, accepting the blessings, being inspired unlearning old codes and creating a clean canvas, has been quite effective.

"Nobody can go back and start a new beginning,

but anyone can start today and make a new ending."
