A quirky friend brought to me by quirk of events, we ll I guess we all have them. we all need them too. Somewhere fate is like a strange, unpopular restaurants filled with odd little waiters who bring you things you never asked for and don’t always like. But this time, it was different.
Friendships… in born at the moment one person says to another, “what! You too? I thought that no one but myself…” we were two of a kind, like those wise old aunties who come in many guises. There are maiden aunts, dowager aunts, and that delightful creature, the eccentric aunt. Both fell into the latter category..
The front is fine, but beyond the wall of external formality, maximum to the moat of pseudo- comrade is fine. It was always difficult because I was quirky, until I found another whose quirkiness complements mine.
I guess that’s the truth of it all, is we are all a little quirky, and life is quirky too, when we find someone whose quirkiness is compatible with ours we join up with them and fall into mutually supporting state of weirdness – we call it friendship – deep friendship.
Here is a person willing to fly in the face of reason, authority, and common sense, which make the person a person of considerable self-assurance, since such a person occurs only rarely that person will seem eccentric to the rest of the world. A person eccentric in one respect is often eccentric in others. consequently, this person is most likely to get new ideas is a person of good background in the field of interest and one who is unconventional in her habits (to be a crackpot is not however enough in itself.)
In this age, the example of non-conformity, the mere refusal to bend the knee to custom is itself a service. Precisely because the tyranny of opinion is such as make eccentricity a reproach, it is desirable in order to break through that tyranny, that people should be eccentric. Eccentricity has always abounded when and where strength of character has abounded; and the amount of eccentricity in a society has generally been proportional to the amount of genius, mental vigour, and moral courage which it contained. That so few now dare to express their quirkiness, marks the chief danger of the time. Which is precisely why I bond with this friend and the honesty in expressions?
So much for the sholay-bonding story, but we do have intense discussion about if Bromance is about bonding between men, then what is female bonding called? Womance? We also debate about why we say patriotism and not Matriotism considering we talk about motherland.
Well so far and no further. Having said that.
