It is really interesting there were no must have toys. Of course the blond walkie-talkie doll that my father sent from England was treasure.
But we played with available stuff. When our mothers went to buy steel utensils, the shop owner at times gave us miniature ones.
broken crockery, scraps of dress materials all these were part of our games.
The postman, the milkman they all contributed in their own way.
